Let’s Get Hip this Spring!

Dear friends,

With the spring weather arriving you may be increasing your activity, possibly walking, gardening and playing outside more so in this letter I am focusing on taking care of your hips and lower body in this letter.

We need our lower body to be relaxed and strong for exercise, and I have found that a lot of the tension we carry in the body can be traced back to our hips.

The connection between the lower back, sacrum and hips is an intricate dance that either stabilizes our lower body (our trunk) or not.

A Special Therapeutic Massage Session

This spring I am offering an amazing full- body therapeutic massage that allows me to get into the multifaceted layers of the hips and glutes from a different angle. The opportunity to experience bodywork in a side lying position. If you have not experienced side lying position before, this is your chance. The sides of the body are lengthened in this position and the distance from your waist to your hips is elongated. Concentrated work is done around the sacrum and iliac crest.

The results are noticeable freedom in your gait or walk. You will learn how to locate certain parts of the pelvis and be able to form a mental picture of your own pelvis.

With this session I also will give you specific Yin Yoga style stretches to keep your hips open and relaxed.

Lastly, energy medicine will be applied to all the reproductive organs held within the pelvis for energetic clearing as well.
